So I may be taking a trip back toOxford next week to browse around earlier in
the day – and without a suitcase full of art this time!

September 9, 2011![]() Feeling good! I accomplished a lot today - finished a piece I was working on and completed another. I still feel that I haven't really hit a homerun, bu tI figure as long as I keep roducing work I'll continue to generate ideas and the pieces will become more refined and informed as I go along. I'm going to take the weekend off from working and will concentrate on reading through my art books - really focusing on Ray Johnson and Robert Rauscenberg. I think I need to fill my heart up with inspiration. I had a couple of ideas while I was out walking the dog: I want to create a piece that uses toys & games as its main focus with the subtle undertone of a troubled childhood (not exactly sure how I'll figure that one out yet); and the other piece I want somehow to deal with dancing - the image of those numbered, outlined shoes with arrows comes to mind. I nearly forgot! I've prepped a surface that I plaon on using for the theme of sewing. After I was through at the gallery last week I stumbed across an open market on the way back to the bus station. It was late in the day so most of the vendors were closing up shop, but I managed to find a stall open that had all of these buttons and ribbons and I found this great hosiery mending kit called - love this! - Miladi! Can't wait to use it. I have some old wooden thread spools that I’ll somehow
